In their classroom, they are utilizing the Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach to empower students to gain knowledge in engaging and memorable ways. Through PBL, students not only deepen their understanding of core concepts but also develop practical skills applicable to real-world situations—skills that will serve them well in school and future careers.
For this STEAM Fair, the 8th grade students are tackling an exciting project called "Be Your Own Boss." Working in teams, they are creating their own business plans, which include marketing strategies, budgets, and creative ideas. To make this experience even more meaningful, they would love for members of the South OKC Chamber of Commerce to join them as evaluators and mentors. Your expertise would be invaluable in providing feedback and constructive critiques to help our students refine their plans.
The fair is a wonderful opportunity for the South OKC Chamber of Commerce to connect with the next generation of leaders and innovators. Your participation would not only inspire students, but also strengthen the bridge between education and the business community.Date and Time
