Creativity Unleashed: Fun with Portals at Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library

Have you ever played Valve's Portal or Portal 2? Or perhaps you're a fan of Symmetra's teleportation portals from Overwatch? Or any other sci-fi media that involves portals that carry you from place to place? Then this is the program for you!

Join us for a two session program involving 3D prints, laser cut and engraved wood, character design, and resin pouring! **Photographs represent examples of completed session 1 projects.

During session 1, attendees will design and paint their portals and minis, then attach them so they appear to be entering and exiting from one or two portals. We will have a variety of halved 3D printed designs available! If you'd like to have a custom one printed, please make an appointment at the SOKC maker lab before September 23rd to arrange to have one printed!

During session 2, attendees will use epoxy resin to complete the final portal effects with glow in the dark resin, sparkles, alcohol ink swirls, and other cool additives to the resin! These one of a kind portals make for cool wall hanging, bookends, desk decorations and more! Keep one for you and gift another to a friend, as a way to "connect"! Or keep them both for yourself, we won't judge! ;)

All supplies will be provided. No experience necessary, but it is recommended that attendees come prepared to attend the entire program. Attendance at both sessions is necessary; please ensure you can attend both before registering.
