The Annual Banquet serves as the installation ceremony for the 2025 Board of Directors and includes an inspiring awards program recognizing outstanding individuals, including the 2024 Volunteer of the Year, Ambassador of the Year, Citizen of the Year, and our 2024 Native Oklahoman Award Recipient: Derek Loccident.

Derek Loccident is a 2-time Paralympic silver medalist in track and field, representing Team USA at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. An Oklahoma City native, Derek’s remarkable journey began after a train accident in 2018. Since then, he has overcome adversity with incredible determination, becoming a standout athlete in the long jump and 100-meter dash. Now training at the elite athlete center in San Diego, Derek exemplifies resilience and inspires everyone he meets.
