Jan 2    Seriously Fun Networking Group Date Change
Due to the New Year's holiday...  we are meeting on Thursday, January 9, instead of January 2!

This is one of the Chamber's monthly networking groups! We always mix a bit of fun in with our work! The Seriously Fun group meets once a month in the late afternoon on the first Thursdays of each month!  Everyone participates in the round of self-introductions!

The guidelines explain that there are limitations based on industry category. Any Chamber member may attend twice. So, please join us to learn more. All of our special events are open to any Chamber member.  Non-Chamber members are welcome to attend once, prior to joining the South OKC Chamber.

Jan 7    Ambassador Committee Lunch Meeting
Mark your calendar for the Ambassador Committee Meeting.  An Ambassador plays a very important role in the operation of the Chamber.  As an Ambassador you are a goodwill representative of the organization that works for business and community interests in South Oklahoma City.  An Ambassador attends various Chamber events and serves to “Welcome” new members. Your commitment and participation to attend a minimum of 2 chamber-sponsored events each month is greatly appreciated.  Each minute of volunteer time is needed and worthwhile to the community, the Chamber, and is personally rewarding to you.

Jan 8    Instant Connections at Earlywine Park YMCA
This one-hour networking event will allow attendees to share information about their respective businesses.  Attendees are allowed 90 seconds at each table to share information and then move to a new audience and repeat the process.  Session is free; but a $10 no-show fee applies to any cancellations after January 6 at noon. Instant Connections is limited to the first 36 respondents and is a members-only event.

The Planning Department at Oklahoma City is conducting a Housing Affordability and a Housing Market Study. Housing affordability and availability is an important issue to our residents and families and this study will provide recommendations for the City’s future housing policies and programs.
