Feb 19 - Mar 30    Total Resource Campaign Kicks Off
The Total Resource Campaign has officially started! Volunteers from within the Chamber, otherwise known as Emissaries, will be contacting all the members of the South Oklahoma City Chamber during the fundraising campaign. Emissaries will also recruit new and regain former Chamber members.

This is one of the Chamber's monthly networking groups!  We always mix a bit of fun in with our work!  The Seriously Fun group meets twice a month in the late afternoon on the first and third Thursdays.

Each session features a member spotlight.  Jeanette Hackney from Newcastle Casino will share highlights about their upcoming activities.   Everyone participates in the round of self-introductions!

The guidelines explain that there are limitations based on industry category.  Any chamber member may attend twice.  So, please join us to learn more.  All of our special events are open to any Chamber member.  Non-Chamber members are welcome to attend once, prior to joining the South OKC Chamber.

Mar 5 - Mar 28    City of Oklahoma City Opens Applications for Oklahoma City Youth Council
High school students interested in hands-on learning about public service may apply for the Oklahoma City Youth Council by March 28. The Youth Council has 18 members each year, with two members from each of the City's eight Wards and two at-large members. Youth Council members will spend the 2018-19 school year learning about the challenges of municipal government, addressing issues affecting OKC's youth, and more. Applicants for the Youth Council should have a GPA of at least 3.0, a letter of recommendation, and a demonstrated interest in government and community service. Visit lokc.org to apply.

The application form for Leadership Oklahoma City Signature Program Class 37, 2018-19, is now available.
  • Applicants for the Signature Program Program must be at least 21 years of age. 
  • Applicants must live, work, or have a demonstrated substantial interest in Oklahoma City. 
Applications will be judged on the basis of: 
  • Commitment and motivation to serve the central Oklahoma area 
  • Potential for a substantial civic leadership role 
  • Representation of a particular segment of society, including occupation, gender, race or ethnic background, geographic demographics, faith, economic status, and any other characteristic as appropriate
